Victoria Court unveils new out-of-this-world room

VICTORIA Court, one of the leading hotel chains nationwide, launched their new themed room on Thursday night at their Pasig hotel.

Inspired by the Star Wars saga, the said room, aptly named "Space Wars", features a spaceship cockpit with light switches, pilot flight controllers, and sound effects so that the guests can play simulations of spaceship battles.

Also, guests can channel their inner cosplayers as costumes and weapons can be seen in the room as well.
The dishes to be served at the Space Wars room, which like the other rooms can be used for gatherings, are also Star Wars-inspired, like the black-bun Dark Side Burger, Panatrooper (Victoria Court's own take on Panna Cotta), and Jar Jar Drinks.

HODD to organize huddle in Pasig

Storytelling is an age-old tradition of the world. It has been practiced to pass on information, make sense of experiences, and understand one another. It has the power to immortalize individuals and events, incite ideas and action, and bring people together. It is in the spirit of this powerfully unifying practice that Hero Of D Day and CSR World bring to you Share a Story, Save the World: A Volunteers’ Meet-up.

On the 8th of November, Saturday, 6:00 PM, aspiring and seasoned volunteers from the youth sector will meet at Co. Lab, Brixton St., Brgy. Kapitolyo, Pasig City to tell their own tales and listen to others. Php 250will  avail  participants of  a  Hero Of  D Day kit,  certificate,  food,  drinks,  and an invaluable storytelling experience.

There will be an opportunity to share volunteer stories with fellow volunteers. Mae Paner, an advocate of  freedom,  justice,  good  governance,  and social  change is  slated to  speak at  the event. Share a Story, Save the World: A Volunteers’ Meet-up is led by two groups one in the cause–Hero Of D Day and CSR World. Hero Of D Day is a social media organization that believes there is a hero in every one. Focusing the lens on the everyday hero, it recognizes great and small acts of heroism by collecting stories and publishing them online. CSR World is the youth department of Benita and Catalino Yap Foundation that ensures the knowledge and experience of young people on CSR 3.0–Citizenship, Sustainability, and Responsibility–are comprehensive and will enable them to be better citizens.

Singapore Comes to Pasig via Spring Singapura

Some of us crave for Singaporean cuisine, but I know going to the Lion City will cost us much. Never to worry. Spring Singapura brings Singapore into your tummies. Located along the Metrowalk in Pasig, it's a new resto serving Singapore's well-known food.
First, I and my crew were treated to a sumptuous appetizer of Laksa, a spicy noodle soup similar to that of South Korea's Jjampong.
Then in came the main courses. Spring Singapura has a lot of seafood and meat dishes to serve your cravings. I went on to eat Hainanese Chicken...
...and some Coffee Pork Ribs. Yes, they used coffee as a flavoring!
And as a testament that Spring Singapura serves the best Singaporean dishes, the chef of the restaurant is a Singaporean himself!

Those are just some of the dishes you will expect at this Singaporean restaurant. For more of their food array, visit its place. Spring Singapura is located at the ground floor of the Metrowalk, Meralco Ave. cor. Ortigas Ave., Pasig City. You may call SS at (+632)5701739.
